She was there for us when we bought our first house as a family, on the same day my wife gave birth to our son—which also happened to be our closing day at the end of the month. Since the banks couldn’t guarantee our rate, we had to close that day. Ivette knew what to do. She sent a notary to the hospital, we signed powers of attorney, and Ivette took care of the rest. Spending a half million dollars and becoming parents by emergency C-Section on the same day was rather stressful. Ivette helped mitigate that stress. When we were looking for that first family house, we were stationed in India. Ivette worked with us for a month prior to our return to DC, and then helped us look in Northern Virginia for our house. She even got the closing company to waive their curbside closing fee. All I had to do was sign papers and wait for the proceeds check to arrive in my bank account. We highly recommend her services. When it came time to sell the house during a pandemic, Ivette was our go-to. She is truly a full-service realtor. Sometimes, especially in the DC area where houses seem to get snapped up quickly, seemingly without effort, people ask “why is a realtor worth the commission?” Well, I don’t know about your realtor, but Ivette is worth every penny. During the pandemic, I wanted to sell and I didn’t want to have to think about it. Ivette took care of everything—and I mean everything. I didn’t have to talk to a single repairman, negotiate with my current tenants, attend a single showing. The papers were all in order, Ivette was always on time and executed each repair, showing, or negotiation flawlessly. When I first got a quote for repairs, not realizing that Ivette was full-service, Ivette’s quote was 50% off the one I received—she saved us like $5,000 right off the bat. When there was a problem with the first buyer nickel-and-diming the sale midway through, Ivette knew of some creative ways to keep our bottom line the same.

Understandably this made things more challenging as we didn't know what to expect. Ivette walked us through a variety of options to establish what our comfort level was and we were off to the races. We weren't excited about tours initially, so when our listing was added to the MLS, a 3D tour was added and we also did a virtual open house.
